Worth Carter
Worth Carter is the father of Landon Carter and a congressman. Worth does not know how to love his son in the way that Hegbert loves his daughter. Hegbert and Jamie’s relationship serves as a model for Landon and Worth to try and repair theirs.
Landon’s mother
Landon’s mother is a sweet woman that has endured a lot. She has dealt with her congressman husband for years. She had to take on the role of both Mother and Father but still found a way to be gentle and kind.
Eric Hunter
Eric Hunter is the star quarterback and the jock that everyone loves. He is Mr. Popular but he is also Landon’s best friend. Eric is the type of guy that will push people aside to get what he wants, but by the end of the story he donates money to the orphanage and apologizes to Jamie for what he did in the past.
Miss Garber
Miss Garber is a redhead, tall, overweight woman that is the instructor of the play. She loves the word marvelous and is very proud of what Landon and Jamie wanted to do for the orphans.
Carey and Eddie
Carey was the person that wanted Jamie before Landon. Eddie was the person that wanted to be in the play in Landon’s role.
Jamie’s mother
Jamie’s mother is the Angel in the play performed at Christmas. She is a beautiful woman that died in child labor. She is very missed by Jamie and Hegbert and she is a lot like Jamie.

Landon’s grandfather was a man that joked and coned people out of their money. He burned down a bank and gained his wealth from the sadness of others. He made many mistakes and lowered the family name.
